Academy Singers is an INTERGENERATIONAL Community Choir founded in 2011 and directed by Sandy Rubright. Members come from Leechburg, Vandergrift, Apollo, Lower Burrell, North Versailles, Delmont, and surrounding communities. The choir rehearses Tuesdays from 6:00–8:00 p.m. in Allegheny Township and performs for civic and church programs, festivals, community celebrations, parties, patriotic events, and other special occasions. Singers who read music—and those still developing their reading skills—are welcome. Semesters run from September to mid-December and from late January to mid-May.
